allen_lande_-_the_showdown_artworkΔύο από τους μεγαλύτερους ερμηνευτές του καιρού μας, ο Sir Russel Allen (Symphony-X) και ο Jorn Lande (Masterplan) συνεργάζονται για τρίτη φορά από το 2005 σε ένα ακόμα άλμπουμ μελωδικού hard rock. Τη σύνθεση έχει αναλάβει εξ ολοκλήρου ο Magnus Karlsson (Primal Fear) και το “ The Showdown” δεν διαφοροποιείται μουσικά από τις δύο προηγούμενες δουλειές τους. Ποιοτικό hard’n’heavy με πολύ μελωδία, που χωρίς να προσφέρει κάτι αξιοσημείωτο ακούγεται ευχάριστα. Οι συνθέσεις αφήνουν χώρο για να αξιοποιηθούν στο μέγιστο οι δύο τραγουδιστές, όμως αυτό δε λειτουργεί προς τέρψιν της τραγουδοποιούς διαδικασίας. Ακούγεται περισσότερο σαν ένα ευχάριστο διάλλειμα, όμως θα συνεχίσω να προτιμώ τη δουλειά που κάνουν στις μπάντες τους.
