vreid_vΑπό τις στάχτες των Windir γεννήθηκαν οι Vreid το 2004, η ίδια μπάντα με νέο κιθαρίστα. Το μελωδικό τους black metal τους ξεχωρίζει από την πρώτη στιγμή και με αυτό το 5ο full length μας ταξιδεύουν ξανά στα σκοτεινά μουσικά μονοπάτια της Νορβηγίας. 48 λεπτά ατμοσφαιρικού μελωδικού δυσαρμονικού ματζόρε/μινόρε και άλλοτε ωμού black μας κρατάνε σε επαφή με τις ρίζες. Κομμάτια που σου μένουν στο μυαλό όπως τα Arche και Fire on the Mountain, πιο πειραματικές δομές και μελωδίες θα μπορούσα να πω στα The Sound of the River και Slave καθώς και νορβηγικό μελωδικό και thrash tempo black στα Wolverine Bastards, The Others & the Look, Welcome to the Asylum και Then We Die. Οι συνθέσεις είναι πολύ ώριμες, σε συνεπαίρνουν, η παραγωγή στηρίζει αυτό το αυθεντικό συναίσθημα, το μη πλαστικοποιημένο και γενικότερα το αποτέλεσμα είναι πολύ στρωτό και γεμάτο. Στους λάτρεις της μελωδικότητας στην μουσική θα αρέσει αναμφίβολα. Check this out!
