backdraft_thisheavengoestoelevenΑλήτικη διάθεση και ένα υπέροχο feeling από τα 70s μας παρουσιάζουν οι Backdraft, ίσως το καλύτερο southern heavy rock σχήμα στην εποχή μας. Οι Σουηδοί με την 3η δισκογραφική δουλειά τους , καταθέτουν ένα εξαιρετικό hard rock album με blues στοιχεία και μια country αισθητική που σε συνδυασμό με την όλο αλητεία φωνή του Jonas Ahlen δημιουργούν ένα αποτέλεσμα που κατά την ακρόαση του αιχμαλωτίζεται στο μυαλό σου η αίσθηση και το πνεύμα της μουσικής της χρυσής εποχής των 70s. Το The King of Diesel είναι ίσως η καλύτερη στιγμή και ένα εξαιρετικό παράδειγμα για το southern στοιχείο της μπάντας που δείχνει πως ξέρει να χειρίζεται πολύ καλά. Υπάρχουν όμως και κομμάτια με αναφορές στο British hard rock όπως το idiot. Το This Heaven Goes To Eleven είναι μια πολύ καλή ανασκόπηση στην μουσική των 70s διαθέτοντας ποικιλία στις συνθέσεις με επιρροές από lynyrd skynyrd μέχρι τους Bad Company και Nazareth και είναι ένα album που ακούγεται πολύ ευχάριστα.
