virtualmind_shatteredsilenceΟι Virtual mind είναι το project του ιταλού κιθαρίστα Francesco Fareri. Το shattered silence είναι το debut album τους και είναι μια μίξη heavy metal με progressive στοιχεία. όσον αφορά τους μουσικούς είναι όλοι υψηλού επιπέδου με τον Titta Tani (ex DGM) στα φωνητικά, τον drummer Dario Ciccioni (Twinspirits, Empyrios, Empty Tremor Khymera) και τον Emanuele Calvelli (Noumeno).Ο Francesco Fareri συνθέτει σε εφτάχορδες κιθάρες και δημιουργεί έναν ήχο πραγματικά βαρύ. Ναι το album είναι πολύ βαρύ και έχει ένα πιο διαφοροποιημένο μονοπάτι στο progressive metal διαθέτοντας κλασσικά heavy στοιχεία με thrash περάσματα. Το εναρκτήριο life και το the black box είναι πολύ καλά παραδείγματα. Όλα τα κομμάτια έχουν ένα σκοτεινό feeling που σε συνδυασμό με τα βαριά riffs και τα δυνατά ρυθμικά δημιουργούν ένα πολύ καλό αποτέλεσμα. Το shattered silence σίγουρα δεν έρχεται να αλλάξει τα δεδομένα στο progressive metal είναι όμως ένα αρκετά ενδιαφέρον album για το είδος του.
