chainedanddesperate_coverΟι Έλληνες Chained and Desperate δημιουργήθηκαν το 1990, φιλοδοξώντας να γίνουν κάτι περισσότερο από μια τυπική black metal μπάντα. Στόχος επετεύχθη μιας και το black στοιχείο είναι ένα από τα πολλά που εμπεριέχονται στο 2ο τους άλμπουμ. Βασισμένο ως επί το πλείστον σε μεσαίες και αργές ταχύτητες το Divine Authority Abolishment βγάζει μια παγωμένη Νορβηγική αισθητική προερχόμενη κυρίως από τα φωνητικά. Σκοτεινό και μελωδικό παράλληλα, επικό και χύμα, με έντονο doom περιτύλιγμα. Mayhem και Darkthrone από τη μία, Bathory και Candlemass από την άλλη μπολιάζονται περίτεχνα από τη μπάντα και το αποτέλεσμα είναι αρκετά διαυγές. Κάποια καθαρά φωνητικά σπάνε κάπου κάπου τη μουντίλα, αν και προσωπικά θα τα ‘θελα λίγο παραπάνω. Όπως και να ‘χει πάντως το άλμπουμ των Chained and Desperate είναι αξιοπρεπέστατο και αξίζει να του δοθεί προσοχή από τους black metal fans και όχι μόνο.
