johnwetton_coverO ταλαντούχος μουσικός, μπασίστας , συνθέτης και παραγωγός John Wetton (king crimson, Uriah Heep, Asia) παρουσιάζει τον έκτο προσωπικό του δίσκο Raised In Captivity από την Frontiers records. Μαζί του είναι οι Robert Fripp(king crimson) , Eddie Jobson (UK) , Mick Box (Uriah Heep) , Steve Hackett (Genesis) , Steve Morse (Deep Purple) και Geoff Downess(Asia). Παρά τις δραστηριότητες με τις εν λόγο μπάντες ο δίσκος είναι αρκετά διαφορετικός ακλουθώντας ένα πιο Aor μονοπάτι. Το Raised In Captivity διαθέτει πολύ καλά και δυνατά κομμάτια ποιοτικού heavy rock όπως τα Lost for words και Raised In Captivity αλλά και πιο ελαφριές μελωδικές στιγμές όπως οι μπαλάντα goodbye Elsinore και το Steffi’s Ring. Άξιο αναφοράς είναι και το υπέροχο Mighty Rivers με την χαρισματική Ολλανδέζα τραγουδίστρια Anneke Van Giersbergen (Aqua de Annique , ex-The Gathering) να δίνει την φωνή της. Το Raised In Captivity είναι ένα πολύ καλό album μελωδικού rock και είναι η απόδειξη πως ο John Wetton διαθέτει ακόμα την ικανότητα να συνθέτει καλά τραγούδια.
