sourvein_blackfangsΗ τετράδα από την Νέα Ορλεάνη(καταλαβαίνετε περί τίνος πρόκειται μόνο και μόνο από αυτό) επιστρέφει έπειτα από εννέα χρόνια από το τελευταίο full – length τους. Εννέα χρόνια όμως, γεμάτα splits, EPs και μια συμμετοχή σε compilation. Βουτηγμένοι στο sludge/doom, βρωμάνε αλκοόλ μέχρι εδώ, τσιγαρίλα και φυσικά βαρβατίλα! Αργόσυρτα, βαριά και ασήκωτα riffs, growl φωνητικά που πιστεύεις πως το λαρύγγι έχει φύγει από την θέση του, αλύπητο κοπάνημα των τυμπάνων και συναίσθημα που σε ταξιδεύει αλλού. Ο ήχος πάλι είναι βουτηγμένος στην σαπίλα, κάτι που υπεραγαπώ και το λέω με την πολύ καλή έννοια. Ένας μύθος λέει πως κάποτε Jimmy Bower (Eyehategod) έπαιζε με την μπάντα, κάτι που δεν ισχύει καθώς είναι μόνο φίλος, αλλά έχει συμβάλλει στο "Broken Down But Not Locked Up" για το tribute των Sourvein στους Eyehategod, "For the Sick”. 45 λεπτά για καλό κάψιμο, με πορωτικά riffs, κοπάνημα ατελείωτο και sludge μέχρι το κόκκαλο.
