slartibartfass_schwarzverhlltΚατάγονται από την Γερμανία οι Slartibartfass, υπάρχουν εδώ και επτά περίπου χρόνια και το ‘Schwarz Verhüllt’ αποτελεί τον τέταρτο δίσκο της μπάντας. Για όσους δεν το γνωρίζουν, η μπάντα κινείται στο χώρο του avant garde/folk metal ενώ έχουν μια γενικότερα πιο Viking ηχοχρωματική σχέση στην μουσική που μας παρουσιάζουν. Μπορεί μουσικά τα riffs της μουσικής τους να είναι κυρίως thrash-ίζον, τα τύμπανα να επιδίδονται σε πιο blast beat ρυθμούς από το black metal ιδίωμα όμως αυτό που του δίνει έναν ιδιαίτερο ‘αέρα’ είναι η χρησιμοποίηση της γκάιντας ως μελωδικό όργανο. Από κει και πέρα δεν φτάνουν σε καμία περίπτωση μπάντες τύπου Eluveitie, αν και η προσπάθεια που καταβάλουν είναι απολύτως σεβαστή. Οι συνθέσεις τους κινούνται σε ικανοποιητικά επίπεδα, δίχως να ξετρελαίνουν τον ακροατή. Εγώ που ήρθα σε επαφή με την μπάντα για πρώτη φορά δεν μπορώ να πω ότι θα ξανακούσω το εν λόγω άλμπουμ. Ίσως με την επόμενη δουλειά τους αλλάξουν τα πράγματα. Εδώ θα είμαστε και θα δούμε.
