thefallendivine_coverΈκπληξη! Οι Νορβηγοί progressive black metallers The Fallen Divine κατάφεραν να με κερδίσουν με αυτήν τους εδώ την πρώτη κυκλοφορία, η οποία φέρει το τίτλο “The Binding Cycle”. Καταφέρνουν να συνδυάσουν με ιδιαίτερη μαεστρία το death με το black metal και το εμπλούτισαν με αρκετά symphonic metal στοιχεία έως και με folklore ηχοχρώματα. Εμένα στο μυαλό μου έφεραν άλλοτε Opeth, άλλοτε Dimmu Borgir, άλλοτε Cradle Of Filth & Amon Amarth…. Ο τραγουδιστής Magnus Kvist έχει δώσει έναν ιδιαίτερο τρόπο στην ερμηνεία του ενώ οι μελωδίες που έχει παίξει ‘εφαρμόζουν’ ιδιαίτερα, δημιουργώντας ένα πολύ ωραίο κράμα. Οι κιθάρες άλλοτε κρατούν την μελωδικότητα τους και άλλοτε είναι τραχιές και επιθετικές ενώ το ρυθμικό section ακολουθεί και αυτό δυναμικά. Πολύ καλή δουλειά έκανε επίσης και ο (γνωστός από την θητεία του σαν μέλος των King Diamond) Andy LaRoque στον τομέα της παραγωγής. Είναι σίγουρα μια αξιόλογη δουλειά από την μπάντα αυτήν εδώ την οποία θα σας πρότεινα ανεπιφύλακτα να ρίξετε μια ματιά. Εμένα προσωπικά το υλικό τους δεν με άφησε αδιάφορο… Θεωρώ ότι σε πολλούς από εσάς θα αρέσει.
